Wow what a fantastic find this place is! We have our camp site picked out 180degree water views. White sand leading out a distance with clear blue water, until it meets the reef. The sun is shinning, dolphins swimming together in a small pod and closer around the rocks you can see the smaller fish swimming. $6 per night per car BARGAIN!!!!!
Kids and John went snorkeling this afternoon, and I got wet to my waist.( To cold for me) They where amazed at the fish life within arms reach. John was looking for some abalone for dinner but to no avail.
Later that night we saw why, the tide runs out so far that there is no water anywhere around where they had dived. John went for a walk on the rocks around a little further and found fresh free oysters. mmmmm oysters killpatrick for lunch tomorrow.
Have just had another issue. our new generator is running but not putting out any power. We brought new so this wouldnt happen. Rang the company we purchased from and apparently it is a common problem. They have a faulty wiring loom and is easy fixed. Well that would be if we where in Adelaide, Melbourne, even Perth. But no we have to wait to get it to the repairer they cant fit it in till at the earliest 2 days time and then 4 days to get parts but oh hang on its Easter so parts will take about 7 days. What a major pain Oh well we have 12 volt power we will just have to put it to good use.
The generator is something we can't change so we have decided to just keep enjoying ourselves. We still have another night here and I really want to take it all in. We walked around the beach some more and John and the boys found some big sand dunes to play in. We saw more dolphins, the kids swam some more and we checked out the rocks for any oysters that might have been missed on the last inspection. The kids have been playing so nicely together and fingers crossed they stay this way. Rang Doug and wished him Happy Birthday, also caught up on some other calls. Seems Nikki might be ready to have the baby very exciting times. Just waiting on more news.
